Ms. Grayson

Greetings, my name is Shanita Grayson and I am excited to start my second school year as a math instructor at Red River Jr. High School. Despite the many challenges we face, this is going to be a great and exciting school year.

Let me take a minute to tell you a little more about me. I have been teaching for eleven years. My past journey in teaching included Winn, Caddo and Natchitoches Parish.

I was raised in Clarence, Louisiana and attended school at Goldonna Elementary School and Lakeview Jr.- Sr. High School in Natchitoches, Parish. After receiving my high school diploma in 2000, I enrolled at Grambling State University majoring in Computer Science. I later transferred to Northwestern State University where I graduated in 2008, with a Bachelor of Science in General Studies with a concentration in Mathematics and Computer Science. In the Summer of 2016, I earned a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Northwestern State University, Natchitoches, Louisiana. My certification is in middle school math and computer literacy. In addition to teaching, I coach basketball.

I am the youngest of three girls and I have one daughter, Za’Niyah, a sophomore at Lakeview JrSr. High School.
