Hello Everybody it is a great pleasure to teach you or your child this year. This is my 18th year to teach Middle School . I will be teaching 6th grade Social Studies and 8th grade English Language Arts this year. I am hoping to eventually teach these classes in person. I am from Natchitoches, Louisiana and have two adult children. In my free time I love to scuba dive with my husband.

We have a great start to the school year. In ELA we are reading “Flowers for Algernon” and other types of fiction. We are working up to the Culminating Writing Task which discusses the changes in Charlie’s character. We should finish this unit by the Thanksgiving Break. In Social Studies we are currently learning map skills and early hunter gatherers.
